The ACA Programme 

When you join, you’ll start working towards the ACA qualification. As an ACA Graduate Apprentice, you'll get involved with client work as part of a supportive and inclusive team. Our apprentices have the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele representing various industry sectors, giving you a well-rounded experience. We prioritise your growth and development by providing you with a mentor and training manager throughout the programme.

You will be based in either our Audit & Assurance OR Accounts & Advisory department where you'll gain valuable commercial insights into how organisations operate and the challenges they face. Your responsibilities will grow as you progress through the programme, with the potential to supervise other trainees by your second year.

What does an Accounts & Advisory team do?

Our Accounts & Advisory team plays a vital role in assisting our clients to achieve their strategic objectives.

Whether it be advising on technical elements of accounting standards, ensuring that our clients have the right information to hand to make well informed decisions, or assisting to prepare financial accounts, our Accounts & Advisory team spends a large proportion of their time supporting clients to meet their technical and compliance needs.

Using this technical understanding, our Accounts & Advisory team get to understand our client’s businesses and the individuals behind them. They offer strong strategic advice to ensure that our clients grow and develop their business in a way that aligns with their strategic goals.

What we are looking for

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals who enjoy a challenge and we welcome applicants with a minimum of a 2:2 undergraduate degree in any discipline. Accounts is a technically demanding discipline, so it’s important that students can grasp new subjects quickly. You don’t have to be a maths genius but it’s important you are confident with numbers and have good attention to detail. You’ll often need to explain complex financial information, so you’ll also need excellent written and verbal communication skills.
