A long history of success

Bath Spa University was established as a modern, innovative university in 2005. But our roots can be traced back over 170 years to Bath School of Art. We have a strong (and growing) reputation that encompasses our various schools and subject areas.

Our Primary and Secondary Teacher Training programmes for example, have been rated 'outstanding' by the quality regulator Ofsted. The Bath Business School has been shortlisted for the Times Higher Education Business School of the Year Award in 2020, and our School of Art, Film and Media was rated best in the South West for Art according to the Guardian University Guide 2021.
