Industrial Placement
Industrial placements are the perfect way for you to enhance your career prospects and deepen your understanding of a specific area of expertise. All our MSc courses are available with the option to take an in-company or self-employed industrial placement of up to 12 months (visa dependent), allowing you to gain work experience in the UK or overseas.

Canterbury
The Sibson Building at Canterbury provides you with the ideal environment for you to achieve your full potential and gain the most from your studies. This RIBA award-winning state-of-the-art building offers spacious teaching facilities including executive seminar and lecture rooms, a Bloomberg lab, a dedicated MBA suite and access to excellent IT facilities and learning resources.
The School is conveniently located at the University of Kent’s campus, close to continental Europe and with easy access to London.
World-famous Canterbury Cathedral is situated in the heart of the historic city centre, just a 25-minute walk or short bus ride.
Medway
Kent Business School at Medway benefits from a range of first-class facilities including digital classrooms, seminar rooms, a group learning room, a computer suite, quiet and general study areas, social spaces and a special reference collection of core textbooks. Dedicated on-site learning, personal and IT support is also continuously available at the Drill Hall Library on campus, the longest in Europe.
The Medway campus has excellent transport links and is just 40-minutes by fast train from London.
The Medway campus is friendly and close-knit, with students from a variety of backgrounds working and socialising together. Being a former Royal Naval base, our buildings are rich in history, turned into a modern learning spaces. The Medway area is steeped in history and rich in maritime heritage with Rochester’s splendid castle and cathedral and The Historic Dockyard, Chatham.
International student support
Studying at Kent Business School is an investment in your future. We have designed an excellent academic experience and a multicultural environment for social and cultural exchange.
There is support available for our international students as soon as an application is made, from practical information on visas to language skills and finding accommodation. This support continues when you become a student to help you make the most of your time at the university.
Scholarships and funding
Kent Business School is delighted to be able to offer a range of funding opportunities including bursaries and scholarships for postgraduate students upon application:
- Early Bird Discount - 10% off tuition fees (apply by 31 March 2023 and pay course deposit by 30 April 2023).
- Course Director’s Scholarship – available to self-funded students with a first class degree (or equivalent) – awards up to £2,500
- KBS Hardship Bursary – 20 capped awards available with a value of £1,500 and £3,000.
- MBA Leaders in Sustainability Scholarship, MBA SME Entrepreneur & Innovator Scholarship and MBA Women in Leadership Scholarship – 25% tuition fee discount.

How to apply
You can apply for our postgraduate taught master’s courses via the online application process. Please ensure all supporting documents are submitted with your application form or scanned and emailed. We will ask to see the originals of your documentation when you enrol on the course.
