About the programme
Our Tax, Technology and Transformation (TTT) area is becoming more and more relevant for our clients and their businesses. The world of tax is evolving as authorities pursue a digital agenda. And it’s up to us to collaborate with clients as they navigate this next phase in the digital era. It’s a global challenge – one that you’ll enjoy solving as a member of our team.
What will you be doing?
- Specialising in Tax Technology – working across many different areas of tax and picking up the technical skills you need to advise clients.
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients – consulting with them as they work to pay the correct amount of tax for their businesses.
- Contributing to society by reviewing tax that will be spent developing communities, driving sustainability and defending our nation.
- Working as part of a project team, delivering results for large organisations such as retailers, pharmaceutical companies, banks, insurers, healthcare and beyond.
- Developing your professional skillset in a friendly, open, inclusive, innovative and hard-working environment.
- Gaining exposure to cutting-edge technologies and crafting unique software solutions.
How is it structured?
Our TTT programme gives inquisitive, fast-learning students the opportunity to build key professional networks and the right skills for tomorrow’s world – all while working towards a qualification that offers a unique balance of technological focus and accounting acumen.
Expect lots of support, opportunities for growth and the chance to develop a strong reputation. Learn how to lead, exceed expectations and work in a team. Work towards your ICAEW (England) or ICAS (Scotland) qualification. And after the apprenticeship, you could even be promoted into a senior role.
Years one and two
Study for your professional qualification as you enjoy real-world exposure to global clients. And explore how you can reach your career goals.
Years three and four
Step into the advanced section of the programme and gain key skills in data analytics and visualisation, AI and machine learning, agile and scrum mastery, solution architecture, operations and programme management, extract, transform and load (ETL), data management, governance and architecture, and business development.
Alongside our programme offering, we give you all the training and exposure to real-world work you could want. Technology in TTT
You’ll work with the latest technologies to help some of the largest firms in the world. Are you eligible to apply?
We operate an open access policy, meaning we don’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone. You will, however, need a minimum of grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths, and to have completed three A-levels/Five Highers (or equivalent).

Length of Programme: 4.5 years
Qualification/s you’ll gain
ICAEW in England and ICAS in Scotland
Level 7 Apprenticeship In Accountancy and Taxation (equivalent to a master’s degree)
Please note: Level 7 apprenticeships do not apply to EY offices in Scotland.
