Why choose Wolverhampton?
Academic quality and standards at the University have been highly commended by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), which reviews UK higher education teaching. The university was praised for its 'regard for the student voice' and QAA concluded that confidence could be placed in management of academic standards and the high quality of learning experiences available to students.

Wolverhampton is situated in the heart of England with a wealth of transport connections, so you'll be less than 20 minutes from Birmingham, one hour from Manchester and less than two hours from London.
A short walk from City campus is the centre of the Wolverhampton where you will find an award winning art gallery that houses a nationally acclaimed pop art collection, the largest outside of London; lots of cafes, bars and restaurants together with all the shops you'll need ranging from clothes, household, electrical, food and other provisions.
Wolverhampton is a grand place to study... Every drop of this experience has truly been rewarding.

You'll find a Learning Centre on each campus, providing an effective blend of advanced learning resources. E-learning facilities keep you in touch with the service 24-hours a day, seven-days-a-week, and our online catalogue system and telephone service means you can renew or reserve books without leaving the house.
As a postgraduate student, we recognise that you may have additional study needs so that's why we offer a dedicated IT facility that's just for you, as well as silent study rooms for maximum concentration. You'll benefit from an extended book loan period, and you can enjoy access to other academic libraries at universities including Aston, Birmingham, UCE, Coventry, Keele, Staffordshire, Warwick and Worcester. Working full-time, the MSc Construction Project Management was a challenge but with dedication it is achievable. I planned my week in advance and was realistic about my everyday demands.

Accommodation
Rated one of the best value places to live in the UK, Wolverhampton is a great place to study, the university offers over 2,000 places in our accommodation, including over 1,000 rooms with en-suite facilities, suiting all budgets.
I think Wolverhampton itself is a good city for students; many places are accessible by walking, it's not very expensive, it has many pubs to hang out with friends and beautiful West Park is ideal for walks and jogging.

You'll find a growing research community that fosters a spirit of enquiry and a thirst for discovery. In 2009, the university was awarded almost £2 million in recognition of our research excellence. This was a testament to our hard working staff, and a mark of the university's constant drive for discovery and innovation.
The RAE 2008 confirmed the University of Wolverhampton had research ranked as 'world-leading' - the highest accolade - for a percentage of work in eight of the areas submitted. All 11 units of assessment had work deemed to be 'internationally-recognised' - the second highest grade.
After competing the MA, I plan to continue studying and undertake a PhD with a view to a career in academia. The infectious enthusiasm of the lecturers at the University has been pivotal in this decision, I owe a great deal to all staff who have helped me to realise my potential.
