Tax Apprenticeship

Job description

What is KPMG Tax?

Tax impacts our lives and society in more ways than you’d ever imagine. Our Tax experts are doing more than just advising individuals and businesses, they’re making a meaningful difference to society, by helping to solve some of the biggest challenges facing our country.

Our Tax teams work with a wide range of organisations and individuals, helping them to put in place the tax approaches that best suit their needs, within legal and regulatory requirements. Put simply, we help businesses and individuals pay the right tax at the right time.

KPMG Tax Apprenticeship

On this programme, you’ll have the opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of interesting projects, learning how to provide a range of tax advice. Our tax specialists work alongside clients to help them understand the complexity of tax across the globe – from energy sector companies to online food businesses, banks and high-net worth individuals. We seamlessly bring together our specialist tax services to help address our clients’ needs. You will be exposed to and will develop a broad understanding of those services in Business Tax, People Services & Family Office and Private Client whilst you study for a professional qualification, providing you with structured learning through a blend of innovative online, and in person study. You’ll develop valuable technical skills and have the support of our learning community – helping you to fulfil your potential in your career.

You’ll join a diverse and supportive team, who’ll help you to build your confidence, develop a broad commercial understanding and empower you to do work that matters.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary and a host of great benefits too, including 25 days’ holiday, study leave and a day off on your birthday. What’s more, you can take up to six days of time off to take part in volunteering initiatives.

Our firm’s hybrid working model balances the flexibility of working from home with the importance of collaborating and learning in offices or at client sites. We trust our people to be where our clients need them to be, with our client-facing colleagues working together in person as often as needed. You’ll be empowered by the technology that supports us to work flexibly and our collaborative offices spaces, building friendships and shared experiences, innovating, and learning together.

Seeing the whole picture

KPMG is a place where you can be yourself and give your best - whoever you are and whatever your background. We look at more than just your academic results and will also consider your strengths, values and motivations. See the specific programme page on our Careers Portal for entry requirements and our ‘How to Apply’ section for detailed application guidance.

Training

With the KPMG community by your side, you’ll have the support to grow in your own way, gaining learning for a lifetime. You’ll have access to funded, relevant professional qualifications or accreditations and an extensive programme of internal training geared towards your career and personal development. On this programme, you’ll study towards the AAT Level 3 and 4 plus the Level 7 ATT CTA qualification.
