Trainee Accountant – School Leaver Programme

Job description

We are looking for school leavers to train in our audit/accounts department. You will initially be supported to study for the AAT or ICAEW CFAB exams and continued exams on qualification.

We offer a complete study and work experience programme. You will follow a study programme which combines classroom tuition with home study. You will be tested under exam conditions after each stage. Our trainees attend courses, which cover the breadth of the syllabus and the key topics of study, which is supplemented by a revision course immediately prior to the exams.

Importantly, we mentor you through your training because we want you to enjoy your work and fulfil your potential.

We pay all the costs towards your professional exams, which includes training courses, manuals, textbooks and examination fees for first sitting.

You will be working as part of an experienced, stable and supportive team, made up of all levels from first year trainees to senior managers with thirty years’ experience. We are looking for people to grow through the organisation.

Person requirements

The role will require excellent communication skills as there will be direct contact with our clients and you will receive your own portfolio of clients from an early stage.

Development and career progression

More than half of the partners began their journey as trainee accountants within our firm, working their way up from trainee to senior to manager to practice partner.
