Job description

Our Human Resources Programme

  • The HR Programme is three years in length and is likely to see you work both within a factory location and within the central HR functions to provide you with the breadth of knowledge, behaviours and skills necessary to enter into future senior HR roles. Carefully planned placements, as well as the opportunity to choose a preferred pathway in year three will give you a greater understanding of how HR works at Bakkavor.
  • You will be exposed to all HR aspects of the business, including People Services, Systems, Resourcing, Employee Relations, L&D, Performance and Talent Management, HR Analytics, Employment Law and Reward Management.
  • Your target role when you reach the end of your Programme will depend very much on the pathway that you would like to pursue, however, you should be aspiring towards a Senior HR Business Partner role within 5-7 years of starting Bakkavor.

What we are looking for

  • We are looking for graduates who can combine excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with a business-focused approach.
  • The pace is fast, so you’ll need excellent organisational skills too.
  • Having an inquisitive nature and an inbuilt desire to challenge the norms is the key to success.

  • Achieved, or are expected to achieve, at least a 2:2 honours degree in any discipline
  • Three months' work experience in an HR related position
  • An existing ‘right to work’ in the UK
  • A clearly articulated motivation to progress your career in HR in the food industry
  • Flexibility to complete two rotational placements – year one in Bo’ness.

How to apply

If successful, we will invite you to an assessment centre in January or February 2024 and these interviews are for a September 2024 start on the programme.
