About this role
We understand that design is at the heart of exceptional digital product experiences. Our Product & Design team is dedicated to creating products that our people here in BT use and love every day.
As a Product Design Graduate, you'll be a key part of our mission to shape BT’s future through user-centric design and innovation. Our aim is to foster top-tier Product Design talent, and we're committed to giving you the knowledge, experience, and mentorship needed to become a world-class Product Designer.
In this role, you'll be instrumental embracing the principles of user-centric design to enhance existing product experiences and create new ones that captivate our users. Additionally, you'll take part in innovation initiatives, exploring what customers and colleagues want, how to improve existing product experiences, keeping an eye on industry competitors, and envisioning the future of product design. Your daily mission will involve answering these questions and providing innovative solutions.
We'll provide you with the opportunity to gain invaluable experience and insights that will equip you to excel as a Product Design professional. You'll collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, participate in design practices, and create digital products that inspire and delight our users. Starting Salary
£33,500
This is a 24-month Graduate position, followed by a permanent position in this Business Unit at the end of the programme.
What we are looking for
- A 2:2 bachelor's degree in the following or similar field would be required:
- Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Web Design or Multimedia Design, and Product Design.
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Industrial Design, User Experience (UX) Design, Digital Media, or Digital Arts.
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science or Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and Cognitive Science.
In addition, it would be advantageous to have a strong design portfolio that demonstrates design skills and showcases work. Skills such as creativity, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and attention to detail are highly valued.
