Project Management Summer Internship

Job description

Expect to work on every kind of project across our organisation – from design to construction, in-service support and maintenance and capability enhancement projects.

Whatever the task at hand, risks need to be identified and managed, stakeholder requirements satisfied, and the whole assignment planned and delivered on time and to budget.

Along the way, you’ll develop strong relationships with colleagues in engineering, commercial, financial and procurement functions. That’s because watching our finances is as important as watching the clock when delivering a project. With that professional network behind you, you’ll have everything you need to tackle anything that comes your way.

What you’ll get out of it

During your summer internship, you’ll get the opportunity to work in a department relevant to your degree subject so you can start putting theory into practice. You can expect to work on current projects where you’ll have real input and learn how to work safely in a workplace environment.

What we are looking for

To be in year three (or above) in your studies of a relevant degree in engineering, project management or business management

Many of our early career roles are subject to security clearance and Trade Control restrictions which mean that your place of birth, nationality, citizenship, or residency you hold or have held may impact which roles you are eligible for. Further details are available at United Kingdom Security Vetting: clearance levels - GOV.UK. For our early careers roles, you must be able to achieve BPSS and many of them require you to be eligible for Security Clearance.
