Procurement Supplier Technical Assistant (STA) Graduate
The STA team are responsible for supplier quality throughout our vehicle portfolio, interacting with every part that goes into our cars to ensure we deliver excellence. As a graduate, you’ll have the opportunity to be involved in almost every aspect of one of our cars’ lifecycles.
Along the way, you will focus on developing your manufacturing and problem-solving skills as you manage quality concerns from new vehicle introduction through to warranty support. As well as developing technical knowledge of general engineering specifics, you will build and maintain relationships with key contacts within the supply base and our own community. At the same time, you will gain the ability to confidently manage your stakeholders and suppliers and develop extensive knowledge of the approval processes for all parts.
You could find yourself enjoying a combination of manufacturing, supplier and office-based placements, giving you exposure to multiple functions across the business. This will give you diverse problems to solve, from dealing with day-to-day quality concerns to assisting suppliers in distress and generating new processes for new vehicles.
On finishing your programme, you will transition into a substantive role within STA. The specific role will depend on your experiences and interests during your time on the graduate programme.

Our 2024 graduate programme salary is £31,000, with a £2,000 joining bonus to welcome you to JLR. After two years, you will progress from the graduate programme on a £38,000 salary. What we are looking for
You will need to hold or be on track to achieve at least a 2.2 degree in engineering, materials science, manufacturing or any science, technology, engineering or maths (STEM) discipline.
As you will regularly travel between sites and to suppliers, a full UK driving licence is also essential.
In addition, you will have a real passion for problem-solving and the curiosity to understand business challenges and deliver innovative solutions. You will also have strong numerical and interpersonal skills and the confidence to champion new initiatives.
